Michelle Chiu is a multi-talented actress based out of Toronto, Canada. 

With experience and training in classical theatre, musical theatre, improv, singing, dance, and film/TV, Michelle loves performing. This is an industry she considers very lucky to be passionate about.

Ranging from visual arts to performing arts, having an artistic outlet was the something that has always remained constant in Michelle's life.

Being in a disciplined musical theatre program for 4 years gave Michelle great growth and discipline. Michelle is not only an actor, she is extremely vocally talented, and has had over fiftteen years of professional training as well as competing and performing. She has toured in the US and overseas. 

She is also skilled in the production and post-production side of film. Trained at Ryerson in Film Studies after she went to McMaster for Social Studies and Psychology, she had the opportunity to test out many different fields - from producing to cinematography to directing and editing, among more!

Adding to her impressive skills list, she has also worked as an assistant stage manager in community theatre, and in the festival circuit with the Toronto Fringe, ReelWorld Film Festival, and TIFF.

Michelle is currently a full-time actress with a boutique agency in Toronto and photographer at her company Michelle Chiu Imagery, specializing in portraits, weddings and children.

Dream role?

Currently obsessed with Mean Girls the Musical, Michelle adores the soundtrack and would love to play Gretchen. One of her dream roles has also been Maureen in Rent.

Honestly, there are many things Michelle wants to be a part of, but above all else, she would love to be a recurring or principal in a crime drama. Loving jokes and sarcastic humour, she would be thrilled to be a part of a sitcom or comedic series/features.

Some things Michelle loves include: 

Photography, traveling (she has been to almost all 50 states in the US, as well as many overseas trips - including Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Guatemala, and more), pretty much any musical, baton twirling, horseback riding, dance, doodling cartoon-ish things, meeting people, and trying everything and anything she hasn't before.

One of the many things on her bucket list is: Learning how to surf.
